Baby Arwen!

About two weeks ago, Moy, Chay and me went to the Wasatch Reptile Expo in Salt Lake and we had a lot of fun!! we got to see all kinds of snakes, and the weirdest turtles I've ever seen! they're faces look like leafs, it's weird, we also saw the cutest geickos, they have amazing colors like pink and purple and they're super cute!! It was awesome, but the best part is that we adopted a new little baby corn snake, she's a beautiful anery, she's so cute, she always wants to know what's going on around her so we get to see her playing and exploring all the time. Moy named her Arwen and we love her!

Tatzu UPDATE!!

She finally ate!!! Last night we put her in a topperware with her food and left her there all night, and in the morning when we checked on her, there was no mouse and she had a little bump in her belly. I was so nervous for her, I wasn't sure if she would eat, but all she needed was time and privacy. So we get to keep Tatzu!! Yay!!

Tatzu :)

We got our baby corn snake a week ago for Moises' B-day, she's sooo preatty and she stole my heart right from the begining, I know most people might think I'm crazy and well... I might be, but I love her. At first she was scared and nervous to be in a new weird place but little by little she started to feel more comfortable, now she explores her tank daily, she climbs her tree up and down, gets under her coconut house, drinks some water and has fun. Unfortunately some snakes refuse to eat sometimes, and my Tatzu hasn't been eating, we tried feeding her twice with no luck. I really hope that she eats soon and that we won't have to take her back to the petstore, it would break my heart. :( There's a few tricks that we're trying in a few days, but I'm worried. I love my Tatzu! I'll let you know if it works. If it doesn't we'll take her back where they can probably take better care of her and we would wait until october to get another Tatzu at the Wasatch Reptile Expo that's coming to SLC soon. But I hope we don't have to.
Here's a picture of her.

HaPpY BiRtHdAy BaBy!!

Yesterday was Moises' b-day! We had a lot of fun, as soon as he woke up me and his brother who came to see him gave him his birthday gifts, he got a video game and cash, so he was happy. We then went to a few pet stores looking for our pet, a baby corn snake, we brought her home and we're happy to have her with us! I know most people think it's an unconventional pet but she's really cute and we love her! Moy named her Tatzu, it means dragon in japanese. After making sure Tatzu was confortable in her new home we went for a late lunch to fuddruckers where I made the employees sing a funny birthday song to Moises lol, he blushed and gave me dirty looks but I got to laugh lol. After lunch we went to the movies and saw 9, it was interesting and we all liked it, finally we went home and had some cake! yum!! It was a great birthday! Happy b-day baby, I love you!!

Family visit!!

Last month my mom and little brother came to visit us for to wonderful weeks!! My baby brother, Gabriel just turned 13 and I couldn't help crying when I saw him at the airport, he is so big!! I wish I could spend more time with him, he is sooo funny, I kept telling him he should be a comedian, he's really funny, and he's a lot like me. He's in 8th grade and he plays the drums, he's very talented. I also loved spending time with my mom, she's one of my best friends, we can talk for hours, we enjoy coffee, music and art. I love her and admire her inmensely!! It's always sad to see them leave knowing that I won't be seeing them in a long time, but they're always in my heart, and their love travels all the way to my little apartment day after day, and it reminds me that I am not alone. Hopefully my daddy and brother will visit us soon!! :) Here's a pic of my mom and brother.

Friends and Tulips!!!

"People from a planet without flowers
would think we must be mad with joy
the whole time to have such things about us."
~Iris Murdoch, A Fairly Honourable Defeat

Me and my friend Lacey went to the tulip festival, we had a great time, and the gardens were amazing!! I love looking at nature, every time I see the wind moving trough the trees, the amazing colors and textures of flowers or how the clouds dance up in the sky, I see God. Isn't He Amazing?? Every flower he created, He did it for me and you!! So lets always stop for a second and thank him for every sunrise and sunset, every bird, every flower. :)

I'm so happy I got to share this experience with another flower God gave me, my friend Lacey :) we had a great time, and we rolled down a hill, lol, just so you know. Here are some pics!

Jr. High Youth Group.

I've been teaching the Jr. highers at church for maybe about 4 months (wow, time flies) and I am so so happy doing it, I love those kids so much, and I am really encourage to see that they're learning and starting to have a deeper relationship with God. I was having a hard time at first, I would get nervous hehe, but now everything's going great!! Here's a pic that Chris, one of the other leaders send me of him and a few of the guys I teach to.

We're the Last of Our Kind.

Here’s the thing; I’m in love, and not the way people might think. You know, the whole candle light dinner and red roses kind of love, no, I once desired it, I use to believe that nothing was more romantic than that, I also use to think that there was nothing better than a first kiss or a long hug underneath the stars, but then… I met him, Him. I knew as soon as I walked in that room and saw him there, sitting, waiting, that I would fall in love. I did. I would tell people we have nothing in common, complete opposites. And it would be true in a way, but the thing is that we’re exactly the same, two of a kind; it’s hard to explain because we rarely agree with each other and I’m pretty sure he understands less than half of what I tell him, I never understand what he tells me. But it’s true, we’re so alike, I feel like I’ve known him for a century and yet every time I’m with him I’m a kid again, I’m eleven years old and I’m in love, holding his hand for the first time, incapable to move no matter how sweaty my hand gets, I won’t let go…ever. You know those five seconds right before the first kiss? How time stops and gravity can’t hold you down no matter how hard it tries? That’s exactly how it feels when he looks into my eyes. He had never been in love before we met (or so he tells me) so here I thought that I was going to show him what true love was, it turns out that he was the one to teach me, he was there to wipe my tears the night the world came crashing down, he believed in us when no one else did, not even me, and he carried me all the way when I wanted to give up. We’re the last of our kind, maybe even the only ones, for no matter how old we are, we’ll always be eleven, eleven and in love, running around our home chasing each other with toy guns, sailing through the sea on our couch, or fighting the evil spider that lives in our closet, but always together. People think that love is so complicated, I use to believed that, but the truth is that it is people who are complicated not love, love is simple, it’s a look across a crowded room, a pillow fight, walks on the beach, having him tuck my hair behind my ear. I’m in love, that will never change, I’m lucky, every day I’ll wake up wondering what new adventures will I encounter, and the best part is that I won’t be facing them alone, no, he’ll be right there to rescue me from the dragon and find the treasure, I’ll always have my partner in crime, my prince, my best friend, my husband.
