COLDPLAY!!!

Moy and I, went to see my favorite band, Coldplay! and It was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are without a doubt the best!!!! they played most of my favorite songs, Speed of Sound, Clocks, The scientist and off course Viva la vida, and as an encore YELLOW!!!! they gave a great show, with lasers, and this spheres changing colors and it was AWESOME!!!!!!!! It was worth the money and the wait!!! and it was one of the best nights I've spend in Utah!!!!!!! I Love Coldplay!!!!

Twilight Movie.

okay, so, obviously I was super excited to see Twilight, I've never felt like that about a movie before, we got there about 30min early and there was a huge line... so I cut in line (lol) and we got great seats!! While we were waiting for the movie to start Moy decided to go get some treats for us, and as I was waiting for him I felt like I was going to past out or something, I'm not kidding, it was ridiculous!! I was shaking, my heart was beating soo fast and I think I forgot how to breath!! anyways, the movie finally started and everything was great until it started sucking!! The girl who plays Bella, Kristen (I think) was terrible! she did not capture Bella at all, she is this typical teenage girl, that has no clue about life and is completely vulnerable, what I think makes her different from any other girl is the fact that she is completely selfless, every decision she makes, she makes it based on the people she loves. She is not an angry brat like the actress portrayed her as! Edward was all right, Robert did a good job, that's what I was expecting from a human actor playing the part of this perfect vampire! I felt like they were rushing the entire movie, and they left out so much!! Now I know it's a movie and it can't be exactly as the book, however one of the things I can't get past is that Bella did not seemed to have formed a special bond with any of the rest of the Cullens, In the book she doesn't just falls in love with Edward but with each member of the Family, She falls in love with the future that she could have, and this is key to the story!!!! The entire film made me feel like it was a low budget movie!!! I am extremely disappointed! The things I did like were, besides Edward off course, Carlile, Charlie who I think was great!! and Alice who was absolutely perfect!!! But oh Bella, Bella, Bella, I hope they get a different actress to play her part on New Moon. But just like I am to everything and everyone that I love, I will be loyal to the saga, a bad movie will not end my obsession for my beloved vampires!!!

Pumpkin Fun!

So we went to Cornbellys last weekend, it was a lot of fun and a little embarrassing, we notived that everyone there had kids, and there we were, the two of us with no kids but beeing a couple of kids... we had a lot of Fun.

Double Dating.

Last thursday Moy and I went on a double date with Victor and Melissa, Victor is one of Moy's friends and they just had a baby (Ian), we had a great time! they're really nice and fun, we went to red robin and then played phase 10 at their place. We've never been on a double date before, but we liked it a lot, it's always nice making new friends! I hope we'll start doing it more often! :)

An Evening to Myself

I’ve been working a lot for the past couple of weeks, so I was excited to know that I was going to have the labor day weekend to relax, I had no plans at all (weird for me) So Saturday morning I woke up late and spend the morning with my beautiful husband, however I knew that 5 would come, and it did, he kissed me goodbye and left for work, and there I was, all alone with no plans, so I decided to go somewhere instead of spending my evening watching TV, but where? Where could I go where I could be myself without thinking too much about the fact that I was alone? Where could I found my three favorite things? (Books, music & coffee) Borders! So I left without doing my hair or makeup, just wearing my favorite jeans, a pink top and flip-flops. I got there still feeling funny that there was no one waiting for me and no one was coming, I walked straight to the coffee shop and ordered my usual, I almost left when I noticed that there was only the one little table available (I was hoping to get a couch) but then I noticed that almost everyone there was doing exactly what I was planning on doing, drinking coffee and reading without a care in the world, so I got my coffee and sat down, I pulled my book (Breaking Dawn) out of my purse and started reading, I was suddenly in a forest somewhere in Washington running at inhuman speed, hunting and falling in love again with each character, admiring the human mind and wishing it had been me who came up with such a magical story, when I looked up to stretched I noticed that a guy was setting up all of his music equipment right there in front of me, I smiled, I was drinking my favorite coffee, reading my new favorite book in one of my favorite places and now there was live music. Nice. That moment right there felt… well, perfect, I was COMPLETELY myself, and it felt so good since I don’t always am just me (too critical of myself), it was like a cool breeze in a hot summer’s day, like a sunset on the beach. It didn’t matter that my hair was a mess, that I was alone (in case you haven’t noticed I hate being alone in public places) or how many calories there were in my coffee, that moment was exactly who I am, and I was loving it. I kept reading, and as I flipped through the pages I wished I had a notebook with me, someone once said that anyone who reads will at some point write (something like that) and it applies to me perfectly, “next time” I thought, I finally decided to get up and take a look around, I walked around the book store debating on what was I reading next, now that I was almost done with the Twilight saga, and then I thought of reading it all over again, I left Borders with a wide smile on my face, I took a deep breath once I was outside enjoying what will probably be one of the last summer evenings this year, and then I noticed that I was listening to one of my favorite things, jazz music, I followed the sound instinctively until I saw three guys playing right outside of a gallery, this was too much, too perfect. I sat down and just listened for a while then I stood up and decided to take a look (again) at those shoes that I’ve been wanting for the last 2 months, when I entered the store I almost laugh at the big sign that read “All shoes 75% off “ was that a joke? So like most annoying costumers I had to ask, and it turned out that the sign was right (go figure), I asked the lady for my size “lucky” she said “that’s the only size we got left.” (I promise I’m not making it up) I tried them on and feeling a little guilty I said “I’ll take them” She smiled at me, and right when I was handing her my card, I heard HIS voice, the voice I live for, whispering to me, “I Love You” He said, in the sweetest way and then my smile grew wider, I knew this night was too much of a coincidence, it was a gift… to me, I didn’t disserve it off course, but He loves me… He loves me. Like this whole year He reminded me of the small things that make me who I am, unique just like He created me, and I realized I was never alone to begin with, “Thank you” was all I could say. And just like that my perfect evening came to an end and I drove home with a huge smile on my face, not because the weather was perfect, the coffee was delicious, the book was amazing or because my new shoes were fabulous, but because it was all a gift for me, because He loves me. He loves you too. :)

Sisters!!

This is my sister Marcela, she's not my sister by blood but she is by soul, she's an amazing woman and she's crazy like me, she's one of the few people that get me , we've known each other since we were about five and we became best friends in 5th grade playing a silly board game, nothing will ever bring us apart not even distance, I LOVE YOU MARCELA!!

Like I mentioned before Moy just finished his 2nd semester and I am soooo proud of him, not only was he going to school (in Salt Lake City) full time but he was working full time!! He's amazing! So Baby, this one's for you... It's called Green eyes but we'll change the green to brown ok? ;) I Love you with all my heart and soul!!

Mom, Shopping and Diets.

My mom's gone! :( however we spend 10 great days together! we went to hear the Utah Symphony, we went to the Da Vinci museum, Ottavio's, The Gateway mall, etc. and it was a lot of fun having her here, it's always sad when she leaves, but life goes on, and to cheer myself up I went for cofee with Lacey, I got my hair done and then I did a little shopping!! now I'm chilling at home eating rocky road ice cream and watching The Hills (both my guilty pleasures) because on monday I start going to the gym and dieting, now I know I'm not fat or anything but I did gain a few pounds so I want to get rid of them, and start eating healthier so don't eat chocolate infront of me! lol. I'm also very happy because Moy's out of school! which means we'll be spending more time together, we're planning a weekend getaway for his 22nd birthday in a few weeks! I love birthdays!! So we're having a good time!!

Dazzled by Edward Cullen!

I am soooo excited for the release of the Stephanie Meyer's book Braking Dawn, it's the 4th book of the twilight series and I am obsessed with vampires now! I love one of the main characters Edward Cullen, he's so mysterious, so controlling, so passionate not to mention he's a musician!! I like to think I have a lot of Edward in me but with a little more color, I can't get enough of the 17 year old vampire and his immortal family and of course his love for Isabella Swan, so yes, I've been Dazzled by Edward Cullen! I also got Moy hooked on the story, I started just telling it to him but now he comes home and he asks me to read to him, he says he could hear my voice reading to him the entire night, aaawww isn't he cute? So, it's nice to share something with him like that, specially reading (can u believe it?) it's a lot of fun! The movie is coming out 12/12/08 !!! and we want to (we HAVE TO!) go to the premier, it's gonna be a challenge finding tickets but we'll try! and I'll be at Borders on August 2nd at midnight waiting for my copy of Breaking Dawn!!!!! I never thought I'd be one of those people, but I guess I am, hopefully one day someone will develop a weird obsession for one of my characters!

4th of July.

Hey! so yesterday was 4th of july and me and Moy spend the day together, and it was very nice, we went to Ikea like I mentioned before and we bought a few things for our apartment, after that we went to BK to grab a bite and came home to put everything together, well actually Moy did I took a nap haha, after that we went outside and watched the fire works, they were awesome!! Oh, and we had sloppy joes! mmmm!! hee hee. It was a great day! :)

Espaniol

Hola! bueno como muchos (2) jajaja me han pedido que escriba en espaniol pues aqui esta, en resumen, estoy muy muy feliz por aca, hace unos dias fui a ayudar a un congreso de adolescentes en Salt Lake City y me la pase increible, pude conocer mejor a los ninios de la high school y hablar con ellos acerca de Dios, y me dio animos el saber que tienen una relacion con Dios admirable, y claro pude pasar tiempo con Dios y recordar el porque estoy aqui.
Moy y yo estamos muy bien, ayer fue 4 de julio y fuimos a comprar muebles para arreglar nuestro depa, nos gusto mucho como esta quedando, y en la noche salimos al jardin a ver los fuegos artificiales que duran como 45 min. genial!

Dios ha contestado mis oraciones y me ha dado una amiga, una muy buena amiga, se llama Lacey, esta casada con Tyler y los dos nos caen muy bien, ella es coordinadora de eventos y fotografa, ambos trabajos se me hacen muy interesantes, le encanta el cafe, frank sinatra y friends, ke mas puedo pedir en una amiga? jaja... asi que estoy muy contenta! bueno espero me esten escribiendo k? :) bye.

Sojourn Challenge

Last night we (Lacey,Tyler,me) went to Salt Lake City to help out the youth group at Sojourn challenge (youth conference), it was really amazing and encouraging to see so many people worshiping the Lord, from the moment we got in the auditourium I felt renewed, He reminded me the reason of being here, the reason of being anywhere, it was amazing asking God to reign in us along with so many people, after that we went for coffee where we got to talk to the students in a more personal way, I got to know the high school girls better and I was impressed to see the kind of relationship they have and want to have with the Lord, I was very happy to understand that the time we spend being leaders to these kids does matter and will not go unnoticed. I had the fun that I haven't had in a long time, I love spending time with other christians and specially the youth group, I did have a camera with me however the batteries were dead, sniff, sniff. but here's the link to the web page and a few videos :)!

Remodeling!

We've decided to start paying some attention to our apartment, since we got married we've been so busy moving and adapting to new things that we still haven't had the time or money to decorate our home but the time is finally here! and I'm full of ideas! I allready started on our bedroom, we're going to ikea next weekend to finally (after 2 years!) pick some furniture, it's gonna be a challenge for sure with Moy and I beeing so different but it'll be a lot of fun. You'll see the pictures of the process. see ya!

Hello!

It's been two years since Moy and I got married and one and a half years since we move to beautiful Utah (wow!), we came with nothing but 2 or 3 suitcases full of cloths and now we have a life here, I remember the first time I saw Mnt. Timpanogos, it was my first morning waking up in this new, exciting and scary place, I looked out the window with curiosity and there it was, one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, It was like looking at God's eyes looking right at me, reminding me that I am not alone, reminding me that I am my father's daughter.
I have two jobs, Youth ministry, music classes, a house to take care of, friends and the most amazing husband to come home to... I have a life that is completely mine! I thank God for every minute of it. Thanks to everyone that has helped us in this amazing journey. :)
